General Terms and Conditions of Epic Tours Bonaire
1. Definitions
- Epic Tours Bonaire: The provider of boat tours in Bonaire and to Klein Bonaire.
- The Customer: Any person or entity making a booking with Epic Tours Bonaire.
2. Applicability
These general terms and conditions apply to all services offered by Epic Tours Bonaire.
3. Bookings and Payments
- Bookings can be made online or by phone.
- Full payment is required when making a booking.
- Changes to bookings are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
- Any dietary restrictions or specials requests must be communicated at the time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate these requests.
Private charter:
- A deposit of $550 is required at the time of booking to secure your private charter reservation.
- The remaining balance must be paid before the scheduled departure
- Our payment options include:
- Debit and credit card payments at the Epic Tours office
- Cash payments at the Epic Tours office
- A secure payment link (with 4.5% processing fee)
- Any small changes or adjustments to your reservation must be communicated at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled departure. This includes changes to the number of guests, departure time, or charter details. Requests made within 24 hours cannot be guaranteed.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Shared catamaran tours:
- Cancellations must be made at least 5 days before the scheduled tour for a full refund.
- For cancellations within 1 day of the tour, a cancellation fee of 100% will be charged.
- For cancellations within 2 days of the tour, a cancellation fee of 50% will be charged.
- For cancellations within 4 days of the tour, a cancellation fee of 25% will be charged.
- No refund for no-shows.
Private catamaran charters:
- No refund for cancellations made between 1-14 days before the scheduled private trip.
- For cancellations made within 15 – 29 days before the scheduled private trip, a 50% refund will be issued.
- For cancellations made 30 days or more prior to the scheduled private trip, a 100% refund will be received.
- No refund for no-shows.
Cancellations due to Cruise Ship Itinerary Changes:
If you come to Bonaire by cruise ship and you have booked a tour with us.
- If your cruise ship changes itinerary and prevents you from participating in your excursion you will be issued a full refund. You will need to provide us proof of this itinerary change before we can authorize a refund.
- If your cruise ship is rescheduled to Bonaire for a different day, please note that your tour is not cancelled – it is automatically transferred to your new arrival date upon availability. Although we are usually aware of these changes, notification on your part of any schedule changes your cruise ship may make regarding Bonaire is always appreciated and ensures your day on Bonaire will not be lost.
- In case we are unable to reschedule to the new date, a full refund will be received.
Cancellations by the operator – bad weather policy:
- In the event of bad weather, the skipper may alter the route of the scheduled cruise or cancel it to ensure the safety of both the customers and the boat. If this occurs, you can reschedule your cruise for the next available date, or you will receive a 100% refund if you are unable to sail with us on another day.
Cancelling your reservation:
- To cancel your reservation for any reason, you must send an email to info@epictoursbonaire.com or send a WhatsApp message or call our office on +599 – 777 1133.
5. Safety and Liability
- Customers must follow all safety instructions.
- Epic Tours Bonaire is not liable for personal injury or damage resulting from the customer’s negligence.
- Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
- All passengers should be reasonably mobile and able to participate in basic activities aboard the charter. Please inform us of any medical conditions or allergies that may require special attention before or during the charter.
- Epic Tours is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings. Items left behind on board can be collected from our office starting the day after the tour.
6. Force Majeure
- Epic Tours Bonaire is not responsible for cancellations or delays caused by force majeure, such as bad weather or government restrictions.
- Epic Tours Bonaire reserves the right to modify or cancel the charter in the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as adverse weather conditions, technical issues or other factors beyond our control. When rescheduling is not possible, you will receive a full refund.
7. Complaints
- Complaints must be submitted in writing within 2 days after the tour.
8. Privacy Policy
- Personal information of customers will be treated confidentially and not shared with third parties, except as legally required.
9. Changes to Terms
- Epic Tours Bonaire reserves the right to change these terms at any time.
10. Governing Law
- These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bonaire.
